7 Easy Steps to Fix Roblox Error Code 403

Roblox is a highly popular game that most of you love to play on your Android app, Windows PC, and allied device. Due to its internet-oriented nature, it is highly prone to technical glitches. The error code 403 is the most common error on Roblox. As it occurs, you can see a message on your device screen – An error was encountered during authentication. Please, try again. You need to fix this error to have a seamless gaming experience. Here are some quick fixes to Roblox Error Code 403:

Temporarily disable VPN

Step 1: Click on the Start button/Windows icon. 

Step 2: Choose Settings from the options displayed in a new window on your device screen.

Step 3: From the sidebar on the left side, select Network & Internet.

Step 4: Select VPN.

Step 5: Toggle the switch to disable an active VPN on the list of VPNs. 

Turn off your antivirus program temporarily

Step 1: Type Windows Defender Firewall in the search option and click on the most accurate result to open it. Or launch the Windows Defender Firewall by going to the Settings and Windows Security options. 

Step 2: Choose Virus & Threat Protection from the options displayed in a popup window. 

Step 3: Go to Virus & Threat Protection Settings.

Step 4: Now, choose Manage Settings. 

Step 5: Go to the Real-Time Protection option as a new window opens. 

Step 6: Tap on the slider button to turn off the feature, Real-Time Protection for a while. 

Step 7: Try opening Roblox on your device. 

Clear Roblox cache 

Step 1: Type %AppData% in the search bar, which lies around the Windows icon/Start button of your PC. 

Step 2: Choose Local from the three sub-folders you see on your screen. 

Step 3: From the list of options, look for Packages. 

Step 4: Search for the Roblox folder in the new sub-folder. 

Step 5: Extract names may vary. Click on the extract to delete it. 

Step 6: Start the Roblox game again 

Reinstall the Roblox application 

Step 1: Launch the Settings app on your device. 

Step 2: Choose Apps by scrolling down the options. 

Step 3: Look for Roblox. 

Step 4: Select the Uninstall option after tapping on the three dots  

Step 5: Hit the Uninstall option again to confirm your request as a box appears. 

Step 6: Wait until the uninstallation process ends. 

Step 7: Visit the official website of Roblox and move to download and install a new copy on your device. 

Step 8: Open the application as the process completes. 

Check the server status

Step 1: To know whether the Roblox server is down, visit the website – https://status.roblox.com

Step 2: Wait until the issue is sorted out if you notice server-down issues on the site. 

Run DISM and SFC commands 

To carry out DISM repair:

Step 1: Press the Enter button after tying the command – DISM/Online/Cleanup-Image/ScanHealth in the dialogue box of the Run app. 

Step 2: Wait until the repair job comes to an end. 

To run the SFC command:

Step 1: Launch the command prompt. 

Step 2: Type the command – sfc/scannow

Step 3: Press the Enter key.

Step 4: Wait until the scan process completes.
